Pr. Kumaran Deiva is a senior pediatric neurologist and the head of department of the pediatric neurology department of Bicêtre Hospital from Paris Saclay University Hospitals.
He is the French national coordinator for neuro-inflammatory diseases in children and leads the neuro-immune diseases group in the European Reference Networks-RITA and the European consortium on acute demyelinating diseases.
His research focuses on immunological mechanisms underlying neurological diseases and collaborates in many clinical trials in children including gene therapy particularly that of MPSIIIB.
