Dr. Eric Adler

Dr. Eric Adler was born in New York City, New York.  He attended Northwestern University for Undergraduate Studies followed by Boston University where he received his MD in 2000.  

He completed his clinical training in internal medicine at the University of Washington and in Cardiovascular Disease at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is currently a Professor of Medicine at  UC San Diego where he serves as the section head for advanced heart failure.    

Dr. Adler’s clinical interests are in the care of patients with advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and cardiac transplantation.  His research is focused on genetic medicines and novel therapies for cardiomyopathy.
