Clara Devouassoux
Deputy Attaché for Science & Technology
Office for Science and Technology
Embassy of France in the United States
Graduated from the French engineering school Chimie ParisTech, which is part of PSL University, with a cursus in innovation & strategy management from Politecnico di Milano, my professional experiences include drug discovery, project management in Healthcare betterment, and strategic consulting for public hospitals.
Besides, I am truly concerned by the environment and social integration. As deputy attachée for Science and Technology at the Consulate of France in Los Angeles, I am eyes and ears to catch the new research and innovation trends in our circonscription (which covers Southern California, Colorado, Arizona, Southern Nevada and New Mexico) and in Life Sciences all over the United States.
Thus, I provide an overview of these strategic moves that can inspire French institutions’ practices. It may also lead to Franco-American partnerships, which I tend to enhance by advocating the French technological attractiveness. To that end, I put all my efforts on bringing the French scientific local community together, on connecting with major actors in research, development and innovation, on spotlighting the French expertise in R&D and on helping French start-ups to enter the American market.
