Chamindra Laverty (Konersman)

Dr. Chamindra Laverty is a neuromuscular neurologist who treats adults and children with a wide array of neuromuscular diseases including muscular dystrophies, genetic neuropathies, myopathies, ataxic diseases and hereditary spastic paraplegia. 

She also engages in various clinical trials including small molecules, anti-sense oligonucleotides, gene therapies, and cell therapies for her patients at UCSD and Rady Children’s Hospital.
