Antoine Gardin

Dr. Antoine Gardin is a French pediatrician specialized in hepatology and inborn errors of metabolism. He is currently pursuing a PhD in the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) research Unit UMR_951 at Généthon (Evry, France), in the team of Dr Giuseppe Ronzitti.

The main focus of the research team is the development of gene therapy approaches for liver inherited metabolic disorders using recombinant Adeno-associated viral (rAAV) vectors. The aim of Dr Antoine Gardin’s PhD is the development of a rAAV-based gene therapy for the Glycogen Storage Disease type III.

He will be joining the Department of Hepatology of Bicêtre university hospital as a pediatric hepatologist in November 2023.
